Peugeot has announced plans to formally launch the Onyx, its flagship concept car was unveiled for the first time in the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Molded using recycled materials; this concept car has been shaped by drawing motivation from the design cues of other high-end marquees with similar cars in their lineup. The centrally placed V8 engine ensures high performance for the car, maneuvered in the best possible manner by intuitive controls and allows the car to perform optimally in a variety of terrains. In addition to its eye-catching aesthetics, Peugeot has made an outstanding effort to incorporate newer materials, taking design efficiency to newer levels.
The 3.7-litre V8 HDI FAP hybrid engine and the suspension embody the agility of the Peugeot Sport, a feat that has been attained and confirmed on racing tracks all over the world. The engine is cooled by tubes which commence at the roof through N.A.C.A impressions. The V8 is capable of transmitting a whopping 600bhp of engine power to the rear wheels through a six-speed gearbox.
