Jeff Koons Designs Mega Yacht “Guilty”

Greek Cypriot industrialist and art collector Dakis Joannou recently commissioned Jeff Koons and Italian yacht designer Ivana Porfiri to design him a mega yacht. What they created was a piece of floating art.

A floating piece of art, Guilty measures in at 35 meter long and ranks as Koons’ largest project to date. Said to be inspired by the British’s naval ships from World War I, it features a bold use of geometric designs that include polygons and rhombuses. With the pairing of unusual shapes and contrasting colours, pop art immediately comes to mind. The interior is a rather smooth combination of class, beauty and art, full of interesting murals, white walls and ceilings, with a neon light that reads ‘feelings’ above the master bedroom bed.
