It may be best known for the 911, but Porsche is pretty good at building “normal” cars. Following the launch of the Porsche Macan SUV, the luxury carmaker is now considering a new sports sedan to sit below the Panamera.
The baby Panamera has often been rumored as the Pajun (Panamera Junior) and is believed to be considered for production but hasn’t officially received the green light. Porsche CEO Mattias Muller says a baby Panamera is on the table, but called it a “difficult decision” after Porsche just spent much of its research and development dollars on bringing the Macan to market. The primary motivation behind such a car would be increased sales; the 5 Series and similar-sized rivals like the Audi A6, Jaguar XF, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class are extremely popular.
