Rupert Murdoch Sells His Yacht for $29.7M

Rosehearty, the 56m sailing yacht owned by News Corp and 21st Century Fox chairman Rupert Murdoch, has been sold for $29.7m after less than four months on the market. Rosehearty is one of the 25 largest yachts in the world and built specifically for Rupert Murdoch in 2006 by the Italian shipyard Perini Navi. 

The interior design is by Christian Liaigre, the famed French interior designer known for ultra-luxe minimalist chic aesthetic, whose A-list clients include Valentino, Karl Lagerfeld and Calvin Klein. It features 5 guest cabins, a dining room, gym and a multi-media room. Water skis and full sets of diving gear were also included in the sale. Rosehearty can reach speeds of 13 knots, making it ‘ideal’ for worldwide cruising.
