To celebrate 50 years since the Shelby Cobra made its mark on the FIA racing world, Shelby American has created a special limited-production called the Shelby Cobra 289 FIA 50th Anniversary Edition. Introduced in 1964, the original FIA version of the small block Cobra went on to dominate many forms of racing throughout the decade, against well-known foes like Corvette, Jaguar, and Aston Martin.
Based on the same vehicle that dominated the racing world through the 1960s, this version of the vehicle will be produced at just 50 units. Each car is painted Viking Blue with Arctic White FIA stripes and roundels. The cars also comes with premium black interior, special anniversary badges, original style powder coated wheels and a detachable steering wheel.
The cars do not come with an engine or transmission. Securing one of the 50 FIA special edition Cobras will cost $94,995 for a fiberglass-bodied car, or $159,995 for an aluminum-bodied car, plus the cost of that drivetrain.
