Toyota FT-1 Concept Revealed in Detroit

Japanese carmaker Toyota unveiled its new FT-1 concept car at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Developed the Calty Design Research Studio, the FT-1 (Future Toyota) represents the future of Toyota design.

“We wanted it to look as if it was beautifully sculpted by the wind,” said Alex Shen, chief designer for Calty Design Research Studio, which first crafted the concept in the Sony PlayStation Gran Turismo video game before turning it into a live vehicle.

FT-1 boasts a front-engine, rear-wheel layout, a gorgeously curvy body with various inlets, ducting, vents, and a retractable rear wing, and a intimate, functional cockpit. While it may be a concept, seems it will be available to drive soon.
